Remote Collar Training
PREREQUISITES:
Basic understanding of the following obedience commands: Sit, Down, Stay, Come, and a general understanding of how to walk on leash. Dog reactivity and pulling/unruliness around distractions will not disqualify your dog from participating in this class.
This 6 week course will teach the application of the remote collar to reinforce essential obedience commands in an off leash setting.
Topics covered will include:

Conditioning a positive emotional response to the collar using positive reinforcement

Extensive understanding of remote collar usage (plus features and functions)

Finding the appropriate working levels for your dog in context

Application of the collar to increase reliability of obedience commands such as
-Sit
-Down
-Recall
-Heel
-Place -
Use of the collar for common behavioral problems like jumping, counter surfing, fence barking, and picking up undesirable objects off the ground

The cost of the course is $200 if you've already got an approved remote collar system. Speak to your trainer directly to purchase one at least 5 days prior to the start date of your scheduled class. Last minute purchases / sign ups are not guaranteed that their equipment will be delivered on time and will be handled on a case by case basis at the discretion of your trainer.
